Bodyfuddau is an ancient Welsh farmhouse. The earliest date I have found for it in various archives id 1610 when the Humphry Lloyd, later bishop of Bangor was born here. I gather that it was built under the auspices of the Cistercian monks from Cymer Abbey. This puts its date before Henry VIII as the monks would have had no hand in such things after that.
